  1. Welcome to Beautiful Beautiful Nudes.

  3. The system requirements for running Beautiful Beautiful Nudes are:
  4.  
  5. IBM PC or Compatible
  6. 8 MB RAM
  7. SVGA graphics with 16-bit color (64K, i.e. 65,536 colors) display driver
  8. 386/33 DX minimum (486 or higher even better)
  9. Windows 3.1 (or higher), or Windows 95
  10. Soundblaster or compatible sound card
  11. 9 MB of free hard disk space
  12. CD-ROM drive, double-speed or faster
  13. A mouse
  14.  
  15. Don't forget to try out the Beautiful Beautiful Nudes Help system. Click
  16. the Help button at the lower left of your screen, and point and click the
  17. question mark cursor over the various buttons and parts of the screen for
  18. brief explanations.
  19.  
  20. Voice Help is automatically provided the first time each screen is opened.
  21. It may be turned on or off in Audio Effects under Show Settings.
  22.  
  23. The Beautiful Beautiful Nudes user manual, located inside the CD-ROM case,
  24. is also a quick way to obtain answers to any questions you may have.
  25.  
  26. To get the most enjoyment when running Beautiful Beautiful Nudes, read
  27. these performance tips first:
  28.  
  29. For problems running Beautiful Beautiful Nudes or other programs
  30. immediately after installation, or for the error message pertaining
  31. to VER.DLL:
  32. ==============================================================
  33.  
  34. A.  Click on the "Start" button, select "Programs," then select "Explorer."
  35.  
  36. B.  From the \Window\System\ directory locate the file VER.DLL.
  37.     Press the F2 key (at the top of your keyboard) to rename the file.
  38.     After pressing F2, you can type a new name for the file.  For instance,
  39.     you may want to rename it to "VER.OLD."
  40.  
  41. C.  From Explorer, locate your \Windows\Sysbckup directory.  The full path
  42.     should be "C:\Windows\Sysbckup\"  If you do not see it, from the
  43.     Explorer window select "View," then "Options."  From the options dialog
  44.     box make sure that you have checked the option for "Show all files."
  45.     Click "Okay" and then go back to your windows directory.
  46.  
  47. D.  Once you've located the directory, you should find another copy of the
  48.     file VER.DLL in the \Windows\Sysbckup\ directory.  Select the file and
  49.     right click on it. This will launch a pop-up menu.  From the menu
  50.     select "Copy"
  51.  
  52. E.  Switch back to the \Windows\System\ directory.  Right click in the
  53.     directory and select "Paste" from the menu.  This will copy the
  54.     VER.DLL file from the Sysbckup directory into the \System directory.
  55.  
  56. F.  Reboot your system and everything should work fine.
  57.  
  58. When installing a new photo set in the Screensaver section and getting
  59. the error that says "Permission denied"
  60. ==============================================
  61. Make sure that you press "Save" and not "Install."  "Install" is used
  62. only the first time, to install the screen saver program files to disk.
  63. After pressing "Install" for the first set, press "Save" thereafter to
  64. add additional screensaver photo sets to your local hard drive.
  65.  
  66. System Memory/General Protection Fault/End Of File Errors
  67. ==========================================================
  68. If you experience out of memory or unexplained errors when running
  69. Beautiful
  70. Beautiful Women, try any or all of the following tips:
  71.  
  72. 1. Make sure that your system's memory is configured to have at least 8 MB
  73. of memory.
  74.  
  75. 2. Turn OFF any screen savers running and any other memory intensive
  76. applications (including any computer manufacturer's start-up videos/demos)
  77. unless you have at least 16MB RAM. Even our Beautiful Beautiful Nudes
  78. Screen Saver 2.2 when installed and turned on may cause memory problems
  79. when running the Beautiful Beautiful Nudes CD-ROM.
  80.  
  81. 3. If your system is low on memory, load network and device drivers into
  82. high memory.
  83.  
  84. 4. It may help to run a disk utility to optimize your hard drive.
  85.  
  86. 5. Reboot your system using a generic config.sys and autoexec.bat file.
  87.  
  88. If you have done all of the above but are still experiencing problems,
  89. try reinstalling Beautiful Beautiful Nudes.  To do so, first delete the
  90. entire bbn_v1 directory and then follow the installation instructions on
  91. the
  92. back of the user manual. NOTE: If you have already created and saved shows
  93. that you do not want to lose, first copy to a different directory the
  94. file sel.dat from the bbw\data subdirectory on your system's hard drive.
  95. (The sel.dat file contains all the shows you have saved.) After you
  96. reinstall Beautiful Beautiful Nudes from the CD-ROM, move the sel.dat
  97. file back into the data subdirectory.
  98.  
  99. MICROSOFT PLUS! USERS
  100. If you encounter the error message: "SS3D2.VBX is out of date". Copy the
  101. file located at <Drive Letter of your CD drive>:\INSTALL\SYSTEM\SS3D2.VBX
  102. to the SYSTEM DIRECTORY of the WINDOWS DIRECTORY on your hard drive.
  103. You will be asked if you want to replace the older file.  Do so.  The
  104. next time you launch Beautiful Beautiful Nudes the error will not occur.
  105.  
  106. Image Resolution
  107. =================
  108.  
  109. If your beautiful nudes images don't appear sharp and with good color,
  110. check to make sure that your system is set up to use a video driver that
  111. allows 16-bit color (64K, i.e. 65,536 colors). Anything less than 64K
  112. will result in dithered images, which are hard to view (and will also
  113. cause incredibly slow performance). If you don't have the proper driver,
  114. you may be able to obtain it for free by downloading it from an online
  115. service, or by contacting your computer maker directly. Also, 640 X 480
  116. is the recommended resolution, although others do work. To change how
  117. your display is set up, use the Windows Setup program, which is usually
  118. in the Main program group on your desktop, or use the video control
  119. panel utility that came with your video card.
  120.  
  121. Video Playback Performance
  122. ===========================
  123.  
  124. If you are experiencing video problems when playing your shows, you may
  125. be able to enhance the video performance by making some changes to the
  126. qtw.ini file. To get details on how to make these changes, run the
  127. Windows Notepad application or other text editor and open the file
  128. qtvideo.txt that is located in your bbn directory.
  129.  
  130. Music Playback Performance
  131. ===========================
  132.  
  133. If the playback of the music in your shows is not smooth, your system's
  134. hard drive may be fragmented. Run a disk optimization program to increase
  135. the music playback performance of your shows.
  136.  
  137. Windows 95
  138. ===========
  139.  
  140. If you find that any of your Beautiful Beautiful Nudes screens make it
  141. difficult to access your Windows 95 task bar, try changing some of the
  142. settings for the task bar options.
  143.
